HBO Is Offering US Customers 500 Hours' Worth Of Documentaries, TV Shows And Movies For Free

With more than a billion people around the world in some sort of lockdown due to the coronavirus, there has been a massive demand in streaming services.

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Apple, Foxtel, Stan, Showtime and many more have become everyone's best friend as they spend more time indoors.

They attract a nominal monthly fee, however one has broken ranks with the rest to offer its US customers some of its content for free.

HBO is opening up 500 hours' worth of TV shows, movies and documentaries to everyone around the globe for absolutely nothing.

From today (April 3), you can watch series like The Sopranos, Veep, True Blood and The Wire.

You'll be able to view all these things on HBO's Now or Go services.

In a press release, HBO said: "To provide some entertainment relief for those doing their part to keep everyone safe and healthy in this time of social isolation, HBO is making almost 500 hours of top programming available to stream for free for a limited time on HBO NOW and HBO GO - without a subscription."
