Let's get some answers...

After months of patient waiting and wild speculation from fans, the final five episodes of the final ever season of Power are finally starting to arrive on Netflix.

Yes, every Monday between now and 3 February will see diligent Power devotees furnished with a fresh episode and the new hope that we might actually find out what has been going on.

There are some serious questions to answer. Is Ghost dead or alive? Who was it that shot him? Hopefully, we're just a matter of weeks away from the answers we crave.

As for what we can make out so far, the show's creator Courtney Kemp recently gave an interview to TVLine in which she revealed that the final run of episodes, unceremoniously split from the 10 we saw back in August, will focus on a character that 'everyone loves to hate'.

She said: "I always knew that Ghost was going to have to get some sort of consequence for his behaviour.

"Was that going to be incarceration or homicide? Who could say?

"But I made a promise to the audience very early on that he was dead or in jail or some version of that: getting shot, getting hurt, losing everything."

She also revealed that the final few episodes will give us the opportunity to apply scrutiny to each of the suspects in turn.

That means that Saxe, Dre, Paz, Tommy, Tariq and Tasha are all set to go underneath the microscope before - hopefully - we get our answer.

Kemp added: "Ghost is the kind of person who keeps going... unless he loses everything,"

If you're sad about the show finishing, don't worry. It's pretty likely that there'll be more shows from the same vein before long.

50 Cent, who plays Kanan Stark and is also an executive producer on the show, posted on Instagram before the season kicked off last year to say: "August 25 starts Season 6 is the final season of POWER. I have 4 spin-off shows coming so don't trip."

In a press statement, Starz president of programming Carmi Zlotnik said that the network plans to 'continue to expand the Power universe'.

He added: "Season 6 brings us to the end of what we know is just the first chapter of the Power story. However, as one chapter comes to an end, another will begin.

"Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent have created a world rich with complex and dynamic characters and there are a number of stories we plan to tell as we continue to explore and expand the Power universe."

The first episode in the final run of season six is available on Netflix on Monday (6 January).
