The winter is fast approaching and we're already feeling it here in the UK. But it also comes as many of us are looking to cut back on our household bills.

That means we'll be on the lookout for ways to keep warm without cranking up the heating and bringing in those hefty bills.

With the cost of living crisis sadly still ongoing and prices being higher than ever, Brits far and wide are looking for ways to keep the costs down as the colder months approach - whether that's investing in a dehumidifier instead of using the tumble dryer or trying to resist the urge to turn on the heating.

Fortunately, Amazon has a lot of items on offer which can help keep you toasty in the following months.

And in some more good news, they're affordable and won't leave you layered up with an empty wallet.

One item that is particularly cost efficient is a Silentnight Comfort Control Heated Throw.

As the colder months approach, people are looking for cheaper ways to heat their homes.

At £49.99, this snug blanket will keep you feeling warm and fuzzy during the dark weeks ahead.

It would cost you approximately £19.60 to run it for one hour each day for a whole week - that's around £3 a day.

Also on offer are OCOOPA Hand Warmers at £21.99, which heat up to 131 degrees.

Back on the home front, door draft excluders are going for only £14.

Made from a cotton velvet fabric, it's perfect for keeping your house snug - and comes in emerald, ink blue and teal.

Something else that comes in many colours is the fleece hooded onesie going for £13.99.

This cozy fit, which comes in black, brown, red and grey, will have you sitting content on your sofa.

Alternatively, you could pick yourself up a Teddy Fleece Adults' Hooded Blanket for £25 at Marks and Spencer.

Part poncho, part duvet (whatever it is), it looks like the perfect antidote to winter chills. And as if being warm wasn't enough, it has a kangaroo pouch pocket on the front.

You can either stick your hands in there or pop in a hot water battle for additional warmth.

What about my freezing cold feet, I hear you ask. Well, Amazon have a cosy foot warmer for you to stick your trotters into.

With a teddy fleece lining and a rapid heat up, this will have your tootsies feeling toasty in no time.

This blanket from Marks and Spencer will keep you cosy.

If you fancy something a lot more aesthetic, you can grab yourself some recycled velour olive eyelet curtains from Dunelm.

At only £40, these stylish decor additions will block any draft that might make its way into your home.

Its material is also thick enough to help you keep heat inside your house.
