The parents of Alicia Witt have been found dead in their home, it has been confirmed.
The American actor had become worried when she hadn't heard from her parents, Robert Witt, 87, and wife Diane, 75, in a number of days.
Earlier this week, she contacted a relative who lived close by to go in and check on them to make sure they were OK.

In a statement, Alicia said: "I reached out to a cousin who lives close to my parents to check on them.
"Sadly, the outcome was unimaginable.
"I ask for some privacy at this time to grieve and to wrap my head around this turn of events, and this surreal loss."

Police arrived on the scene after being called to assist with the check.
A spokesperson for Worcester Police said an investigation was underway.
They said: "I can confirm that police were dispatched to the residence and discovered a male and a female deceased.
"There were no signs of foul play. It is under investigation."

Firefighters were also called to the scene to check on the air quality inside the home, however, they confirmed there were no noxious gases present.
Worcester Fire Deputy Chief Adam Roche said: "There were no signs of carbon monoxide."
A neighbour told the press that the couple were rarely seen outside, but they said that they thought they had been ill for some time.

They said that Mr and Mrs Witt had also refused help on their home, which they said had fallen into a state of disrepair over time.
One neighbour had even taken to helping out by mowing their lawn and clearing snow for the past few years, it was claimed.
The authorities have said that autopsies will now be carried out on the couple to determine the cause death.
The couple had two children, Alicia and Ian.
