Star Trek star Anton Yelchin has died aged 27.
His publicist confirmed the Russian-born actor was found dead at his Los Angeles home.
A source told TMZ that Yelchin was found by a friend on his driveway after being hit by his own car in what appears to be a tragic, freak accident.

His body was found near 1:00am between his car and the mail box. The vehicle's engine was still running.

The source also said the car was in neutral at the time.

Yelchin, an only child, started his career in small films before moving onto bigger roles in Alpha Dog and Charlie Bartlett.
His most popular films were the Star Trek reboots, the third of which, Star Trek Beyond, is due for a July release.
Yelchin's family requests privacy at this time.
