An enquiry is being opened by the Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport select committee following the death of Stephen Dymond

Jeremy Kyle has been asked to give evidence before MPs following the death of Stephen Dymond who was a guest on his show.

MPs on the Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport select committee have requested he attend to help with their enquiries into duty of care to reality TV contestants.

DCMS Committee Chair Damian Collins MP said today: "We're hoping that Jeremy Kyle will take this opportunity to come and answer questions about measures taken to prepare and support contestants.

"As someone who was at the centre of this long-running show, we believe that his perspective on reality TV will be of particular value to our inquiry."
