Businesses all around Australia are launching sales and discounts to help attract shoppers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Well, it looks like McDonald's is getting in on the action by offering $2 McFlurries.

According to 7News, the deal has been around for a while, yet people have only just cottoned onto the idea recently.

One Macca's employee told the news site: "We always talk about how no-one seems to knows that the $2 McFlurry deal exists."

To be fair, there would be queues out the door of every store if people knew they could get a McFlurry, which usually retails at $5, for less than half price.

The deal will last until May 13 and you can take advantage of it from 10:30am until midnight.

It's worth noting that customers won't be able to order it online and pick it up or get it delivered at that price.

Another McDonald's employee recently revealed what the purpose of the McFlurry spoon is all about.

The funny-shaped utensil has caused confusion in the past with some people thinking it is a straw that you can suck the ice cream through. Wrong.

A McDonald's employee has cleared things up by explaining it's real use - which is to mix up the frozen treat so that the choice of chocolate combines with the ice cream.

The worker, who uses the TikTok handle @marzpire, posted the 13 second clip on to the video sharing app and captioned it: "If u didnt know, now u do #mcflurry #mcdonalds #icecream #mcdonaldssecrets #howto #canada."

On the video she wrote: "Have you ever wondered why you can't drink out of a mcflurry spoon???" Before adding: "What the spoon is really for... To MIX!!"

Responding to the clip, one person wrote: "Wow! I swear I've learned so much off tik tok," while another added: "I used to think it was a broken straw."

A third commented: "I have known this for years and yet still every time I get a McFlurry I try to drink out the straw." Someone else said: "I know for a fact EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has had a McFlurry for the first time has tried to drink it out of [sic] the spoon."

Since posting, the clip has been viewed over 3.9 million times and has nearly 334,000 likes.

When one person asked why the McFlurries are never mixed up properly, the original poster wrote: "Cuz AIN'T Nobody for time for THATTTT, also even when u mix it, it doesn't go to the bottom its just mixed at the top."
