Food Worker Accused Of Throwing Salsa In Customer's Face After She Grabs Tip Jar For Refund

Food Worker Accused Of Throwing Salsa In Customer's Face After She Grabs Tip Jar For Refund

Many users appeared to be on Rari’s side, but changed their mind after she admitted she had 'grabbed’ the tip jar to resolve the situation

A woman has claimed that a taco truck employee threw salsa in her face over an alleged refund dispute – saying the condiment left her eyes ‘burning’. Take a look below:

TikToker Rari (@rari_xo) filmed herself outside a taco truck in Koreatown, Los Angeles, showing her salsa-splattered face to the camera.

“This taco truck just threw salsa at my face because I wanted a refund,” she explained, panning round to show the exterior of Aguilar’s Tacos.

Rari continued: “Because she got my order wrong, she wasn’t wearing her f***ing mask, and threw salsa in my face.”

She then filmed inside the truck, saying: “These are the motherf***ers that did it. Y’all threw salsa in my f***ing face. In my face.”

Filming in selfie mode again, Rari added: “My f***ing eyes are burning."

Urging others not to visit Aguilar’s Tacos, she wrote in the caption: “DO NOT SUPPORT THIS TACO TRUCK IN KOREATOWN! ALL THIS OVER A REFUND.”

In another video, Rari said it had actually been her friend who went to buy tacos, and that she had walked over to help when she saw there was a problem.

Her friend had ordered $10 worth of tacos and rice, but actually received tacos with fries, with Rari saying the worker not only got the meal ‘wrong’, but also did not wrap the food ‘properly’.

She also claimed they had not been wearing a face mask while serving her friend.

“All these things, red flags,” Rari said, adding this was the point when they asked for their money back, and started recording the conversation.

She continued: “She had a little tip jar on the outside. I grabbed the tip jar, because I was like, ‘You’re not giving me my money – I'm going to get my money.’

“Which probably wasn’t the right thing to do, I admit that. But you did not give me my money. She took the food, so we didn’t even have the food at this point.”

Rari said she didn’t even have time to reach into the tip jar before the worker grabbed a squeezy bottle and ’squirted’ the contents at her.

After seeing the original TikTok video, many users appeared to be on Rari’s side, saying she should ‘press charges’.

However, after she admitted she had 'grabbed’ the tip jar to resolve the situation, some changed their opinion on the matter.

One commented: “Now that I heard the entire story you were 100 percent in the wrong.”

Someone else agreed: “I’m glad I heard the whole story, sorry but u were in the wrong.

A third said: “I’m on taco truck’s side.”

A fourth added: “You deserved that and even more.”

When someone commented on her original post to say she ‘forgot to say’ she ‘stole money’ from the tip jar, she replied: “I never took money LMAO I just grabbed it. How many times do I have to say it.”
