Bloke Divides Opinion After Bringing His Gaming Console To Hospital While His Partner Was In Labour

Some people have slammed the man for not paying more attention to his partner whereas others back him.

A man has gone viral on TikTok for bringing a gaming console to the hospital while his partner was in labour.

The birth of a child can be a magical time where new parents bond and grow together.

However, it certainly can take a while for the bub to finally arrive and it's not like hospitals are overflowing with entertainment.

So, a bloke thought it would be appropriate to play some video games while his partner went through 21 hours of labour.

TikTok user @amberscxtt shared a video of her partner with his back to her, headset on, playing a first-person shooter game while she sat in the hospital bed before delivering her baby.

"My boyfriend brought his entire gaming system to the hospital during my 21-hour long induction," she wrote over the top of the video.

A woman in labour has shared what her partner was up to while she was giving birth.

The video has ruffled some feathers on social media, with some users absolutely rinsing the man for his actions.

One person commented saying: "This should be an immediate red flag."

Another added: "These aren't adults 'adulting'."

A third wrote: "Why are some of y'all defending this? Why even bother showing up at that point? Shows his priorities."

However, other leapt to the man's defence and said he should be able to entertain himself when the labour went on for so long.

A user said: "So what's he supposed to do for 21 hours straight? Y'all would get mad if he slept, if he did anything but act like a servant to y'all."

Others saw the funny side, with one person stating she 'wouldn’t mind as long as he brought a 2nd controller'.

Another added: "All these ppl complaining, meanwhile me n my dude are tyna agree of what co-op games to bring when I'm induced."

The TikTok user who posted the video did jump to her man's defence in the comments, telling everyone that she had no issue with her partner's actions.

"It’s okay everyone," she said. "I wasn’t in any type of pain till 19 hours later when it was almost time for me to push.

"And for those 19 hours, I watched movies."

So it just goes to show that each relationship is different, and it's all down to what you're comfortable with.

Also, we'd love to know what movies she was watching to add to any future 'baby birthing must-see' film lists we might have.
