The job is paying $150 an hour, so if you fancy yourself to be a bit of a Marie Kondo then you should apply.

In this big, wide world of ours there are two types of people: those who are clean and those who are messy.

While the latter can try really hard to become the former, clean people will rarely, if ever, cross the divide and become the thing they loathe.

If you're one of those people who can see mess everywhere and has an idea for every room rearrange then you could be paid very handsomely for your time.

IKEA, the world's favourite flatpack furniture brand, is looking for 10 people to become their regional tidiers in Australia.

The official role is called a 'tidy technician' and essentially your job would be to go around parts of Australia and help strangers get their home looking like something from a Marie Kondo documentary.

IKEA People and Culture Co-worker Kent Eriksson said: "We're so excited to be able to offer this role that will further assist IKEA in its mission to create a better life for the many people. In this case, bringing gladness to homes via organisation and decluttering."

The company is looking for someone who is an 'expert in home organisation', who knows how to bring out 'happiness' in a room.

You'll have a 'flair for decluttering', an 'eye for organisation' and a 'desire to tidy'.

So essentially, if you feel like you're an Australian version of Marie Kondo, then you could be looking at your next gig. It's also paying a whopping $150 per hour, if that sweetens the deal.

IKEA's resident interior designer Tabitha Lage said: "We want to alleviate the stresses within the home so that Aussies can enjoy their space and live a better everyday life at home; improving their overall wellbeing.

"However, we can't do it alone, which is why we're looking for our next co-workers who can help us bring joy to the many homes of Australia."

If you're successful then you'll go to tidy training and work out how to squeeze every last bit of your inner clean into someone's home.

To get in on the action, applicants should email [email protected] with a cover letter explaining how good your tidying skills are, along with a resume and any examples you have of tidying, cleaning or organising before January 30.

The 10 people selected for the job will begin their tidy task on February 29.
