Johnny Depp's Horrific Texts To Friend About Amber Heard's 'Rotting Corpse' Revealed In Court

Johnny Depp's Horrific Texts To Friend About Amber Heard's 'Rotting Corpse' Revealed In Court

The actor is seeking $50 million in damages after Heard claimed she was a victim of ‘sexual violence’ in 2018.

Johnny Depp’s defamation case against Amber Heard has taken a shocking turn after horrific texts from Depp to his best friend were read out in court.

During cross-examination, Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft revealed messages between Depp and Isaac Baruch.

The actor allegedly said to Baruch that he hoped Heard’s ‘rotting corpse is decomposing in the f**king trunk of a Honda Civic'.

Depp also wrote of his ex-wife: “That c**t ruined such a f**king cool life we had for a while.”

When asked whether he remembered the messages in question, Baruch replied: “Yeah, it was written.”

The texts were allegedly sent back in 2016, with Baruch attempting to brush off the messages in the courtroom by saying: "He’s called me a c**t in a text."

That remark sparked a wave of laughing in the courtroom, according to the New York Post.

Depp is seeking $50 million (AU$67 million) in damages after Heard claimed she was a victim of ‘sexual violence’ in the Washington Post in 2018.

Despite the op-ed article not naming Depp, he claims the piece ruined his reputation and career.

Baruch has been a close friend of Depp’s for 42 years and has lived rent-free in one of the actor's properties next door for years.

Baruch has been one of several people testifying at the Fairfax County courthouse in Virginia and at one point he became visibly emotional behind the stand.

He said: “I want this all to end – her to go heal, him to go heal. So many people have been affected by this malicious lie that she started and she created.

“It's not fair, it’s not right what she did, and what happened.

“For so many people to get affected from this, it’s insane, how this happened.”

When asked about his own thoughts of Heard, Baruch said he loved her.

He said in court: "I fell in love with her just like Johnny did. She's totally respectful, gracious, she's got great teeth. She treated me with complete respect. Humour wise total locker room humour, demented humour.

"Every time I walked into that place 'Isaac you want something to eat, you want something to drink'.”

However, he broke down in tears when asked about how his feelings changed toward Heard after pictures claiming domestic violence from Depp were released to the media.

He said: “About the phony pictures that were taken and put in tabloids? And about the fake narrative? And about the way that she’s trying to … extort and blackmail a man? Yeah, that kind of got me … frustrated, confused, angry.”

Similar texts were released in Depp’s libel lawsuit against the British newspaper The Sun in 2020.

In court, a message from Depp to actor Paul Bettany was revealed, saying: “I will f**k her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she's dead."
