People who get high on different mind altering substances can come up with the best ideas.
Whether it's an incredible movie idea or a way to recycle that allows more plastic to be remade, there are probably loads of different concepts that have been born out of a trip.
But some trippers might think they've come up with the next best thing, only to sober up and see just how terrible their idea really was or that it had already been created.

Thankfully, people haven't shied away from revealing their best/worst concepts while high in a Reddit thread and they are absolutely hilarious.
One person wrote: "While taking what I thought was acid...I was beyond confident that I had not only finally understand the truest deepest secret of the Universe, but that I had distilled the idea into an image that could be drawn out.
"I was certain that with that image I could remember everything about the true universal secrets when I came down. The next day I looked at the paper, and it was a line with a circle on each end, like a dumbbell. I have no idea what it means."

Another came up with this genius concept: "I got high one time and thought of a great business idea where everyone pays money to a pot and one person wins it all. Turns out the lottery already exists."
A third said: "I made a soup sandwich while really high before. The soup obviously just destroyed the breads integrity, and just fell out the sandwich. That was the first time in my life I realised just how dumb I am."
Other people suggested 'turn signals on grocery carts', a Cheaters-style TV show but for stray cats, and 'mittens for feet' (but then they worked out socks exist).

But it wasn't all terrible or non-sensical ideas, some of them were actually kind of cool.
This Reddit user had a way of making sports way more interesting as it got to the end, writing: "When a football match goes into extra time, they should add a second ball. If it gets to half time without anyone scoring they add a third ball."
Another suggested: "Once while high my friends came up with an online call center for people who have anxiety while high to call. It was named Trip Advisor."

A different person said: "I had this idea that the Taken films should each focus on a different 'set of skills'. Like Liam Neeson could be an amazing chef in Taken 2, and perhaps a postman in Taken 3."
So the moral to the story is that substances, whether legal or illegal, can make you think some pretty funny things.
