American federal prosecutors have alleged in a new court filing that Cheer star Jerry Harris 'exploited and violated' nearly a dozen boys.

The 21-year-old was one of the standout athletes in Netflix's docuseries on the cheerleading team at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas.

The cheerleader-turned-celebrity was arrested on child pornography charges in September and has been held in a Chicago jail ever since.

According to Buzzfeed, a government motion for pretrial detention has been filed against Harris and new allegations have come to light.

Harris has been accused of following a 15-year-old boy into a bathroom at a cheer event and performing oral and anal sex on the teen.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Parente wrote: "Harris' sexual assault of this boy in such a public place, in an unlocked public bathroom, during an event attended by dozens of responsible adults demonstrates that Harris either does not care about being caught committing his offences, or simply cannot stop himself."

Prosecutors have since spoken to the alleged victim and state more charges could be laid.

The athlete was also accused of paying boys and teenagers, sometimes as much as $1,000, to perform sex acts over Snapchat or FaceTime. Federal prosecutors have accused Harris of using his fame garnered from the Netflix show to groom the underage boys.

In the motion filed for pretrial detention, the prosecutors wrote: "Harris must not be allowed to harm another child.

"As Harris' fame grew through his acting career, Harris appears to have added to his predatory arsenal by using money to exploit his minor victims.

"Harris exhibits all the signs of a serial child predator and unless and until he receives significant mental health sex offender treatment, he will remain a danger to any child he encounters, either online or in person."

Lawyers for Harris haven't addressed the new allegations, according to the Chicago Tribune, and he hasn't entered a plea.

The filing alleges that when a gym owner was approached by law enforcement and reportedly warned Harris of their investigation, the 21-year-old destroyed his phone and got a 'clean' new one.

If he's convicted of the sexual assault of the 15-year-old boy, Harris faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years imprisonment.

Harris has previously denied the allegations, with his spokesperson telling ABC News: "We categorically dispute the claims made against Jerry Harris, which are alleged to have occurred when he was a teenager. We are confident that when the investigation is completed the true facts will be revealed."
