Terri Irwin Wishes 'Steve Was Here' After Bindi Irwin Announced Her Pregnancy

Bindi Irwin has provided a tiny glimmer of hope and excitement in this otherwise dumpster fire of a year.

The wildlife warrior announced that she and her husband Chandler Powell were expecting their first child together.

Making the revelation on social media, the happy couple held a little khaki uniform that their bub will no doubt be wearing 24/7 when they are eventually born.

Bindi and Chandler have received warm messages of love and support from people all around the world.

Bindi's mum Terri posted a bittersweet message on Twitter, saying: "This is the best day ever! I am over the moon to announce that @BindiIrwin and @chandlerpowell9 are going to have a baby!

"Words cannot express the love that is filling my heart. While I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud."

Ooft, that last bit really pulled at our heartstrings and you can only imagine how loudly Steve would be yelling 'crikey' if he was here today.

Bindi and Chanlder were married at Australia Zoo in Queensland during a last-minute ceremony in March just before coronavirus pandemic restrictions were introduced.The 22-year-old explained how she and Chandler had to change 'everything' under the current circumstances, instead opting for a private affair with 'no guests' in a bid to keep everyone safe.

They are over the moon about their next chapter.

Taking to social media, Bindi wrote: "Chandler and I are proud to announce that we're expecting! It's an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.

"Though I'm still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn't wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives.

"Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light."

Chandler added: "Becoming a dad is the highlight of my life. I cannot wait to embark on this new adventure and life chapter with my gorgeous wife."

No doubt Steve is just as excited for you guys and the beautiful journey you're both about to embark on.
