Woman Impales Foot On High Heel While Running Away From Spider

A 25-year-old Sydney woman has revealed the details of an epic battle with a huntsman spider in which they both came off worse for wear.

Alyssa Lambert's exploits and injuries were revealed on TikTok, culminating in an X-ray of her foot impaled on a high-heeled shoe.

Lambert's video also shows the spider in her room, her bandaged foot, and footage of her sucking down the 'green whistle' (which contains pain-relieving Penthrox) in hospital.

It turns out Lambert had sprayed the eight-legged friendly foe with bug spray, but then believed it was lunging towards her.

She told Daily Mail Australia she 'freaked out' and jumped off her bed - landing on top of her shoe which was just chilling solo on the floor.

When her flatmate refused to remove the offending shoe from her foot, an ambulance was called and Lambert ended up in surgery to remove it.

And in further confirmation that work has the ability to creep into all elements of your life, it turns out the shoe was the creation of Camilla and Marc - the very company Lambert works for.

"When I told work, everyone thought it was classic," she told Daily Mail Australia.

"If you're going to go down, go down well."

Perhaps going down less well was the spider, which passed away from tis bug-spray-related injuries.
