Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy are officially coming to Australia and New Zealand as part of their Hella Mega tour.

The three bands teased fans earlier this week with mysterious tweets that pointed toward a set of performances Down Under and across the Tasman.

Now the Hella Mega tour has been confirmed and it will start on November 8 in Perth, before going to Melbourne on the 11th, Sydney on the 14th and Brisbane on the 17th.

They'll then head to New Zealand to perform at Dunedin on November 20 then Auckland two days later.

Pre-sale tickets will go up for grabs at 10am Monday February 10 - 9am on Tuesday February 11 on the Green Day webstore and Fall Out Boy and Weezer fan pre-sale sites. General ticket sales will then start from 11am on February 14.

The three groups will soon be travelling the world together with their Hella Mega Tour, giving everyone some unbelievable nostalgia, head bangers and new material.

When they announced their tour in September last year, they all released new singles as well as dropped the names of their upcoming albums.

This year they're set to play 47 shows over 22 countries that have spanned Europe, America and south east Asia...and now finally Australia and New Zealand.

This is hot off the back of another Australian tour announcement that left people speechless. The Offspring and Sum 41 are touring together later this year and our hearts nearly exploded when we heard the news.

You'll be getting to see two bands perform full one-hour sets back to back, meaning you're basically getting two for the price of one.

They'll be hitting the following cities in April:

  • Sunday 19 April - HBF Stadium, Perth
  • Tuesday 21 April - Entertainment Centre Theatre, Adelaide
  • Thursday 23 April - Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne
  • Friday 24 April - Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
  • Saturday 25 April - Riverstage, Brisbane
  • Tuesday 28 April - Spark Arena, Auckland

Tickets were released this week, so if you didn't pick them up then you'll likely be hunting for someone selling some nose bleed seats.
