The type of explosive used in the 'back to back' blasts has not yet been announced.
The funeral was for a senator's son, who was killed during a protest over the security situation in the country. Five people died after police opened fire at the demonstrators.
The march, which took place on Friday, was organised after a bomb attack on Wednesday killed 90 people. Those protesting were demanding that the police and the government do more to improve security.
