A Boeing 737 reportedly carrying more than 50 people has vanished just moments after takeoff.

The Sriwijaya Air flight was travelling from Jakarta to Pontianak in Indonesia when it fell 10,000ft just four minutes after departure.

Indonesian Transport Ministry spokesperson, Adita Irawati, confirmed there has been a loss of contact with the Sriwijaya Air aircraft, CNBC Indonesia reports.
