Man 'Opens Fire' At German Cinema Complex

German media have reported that up to 50 people have been injured.

A masked man has reportedly opened fire at a cinema complex in Germany.

According to German media, more than 50 people have been injured in the shooting which took place at the Kinopolis complex in Viernheim, near Frankfurt.

The BBC has reported that the gunman had 'barricaded' himself inside the complex. Heavily armed police officers have the place surrounded and have sealed off the area.

German police have said there is an 'unclear threat situation', so at this moment in time we are unsure as to whether or not the man took hostages.

Some news outlets have reported that he has since been arrested. However, these are, as of yet, unconfirmed.
