Sometimes it's satisfying to see people getting their comeuppance but this is pretty brutal we must say.

Watch as the passenger of this stolen car flies through the air when he's ejected after the driver lost control during a high speed police chase.

The shocking footage was filmed in Ponta Grossa, in the Brazilian state of Parana.

In the video, taken by a CCTV camera, the stolen car spins onto its side at high speed down the middle of a residential street.

The man sitting in the passenger seat is ejected out of the vehicle's open window and is sent flying through the air.

The MailOnline reported that he shot through the foliage of a tree before slamming into the roof of a house and falling to the ground on the other side of a fence.

Doesn't sound or look too pretty does it?

It is believed there were at least two people in the car and local media report that police had been in pursuit of the stolen car for a mile before it was thrown into the air.

It is thought that the passenger is currently under observation in a local hospital.

According to reports he will be taken to provide a statement to officers when he is discharged from the care of medics.

The driver was slightly luckier though, he suffered only minor injuries and was arrested for receiving stolen goods, dangerous driving and disobedience.

Well if they hadn't stolen the car in the first place and got themselves wrapped up in a police chase they wouldn't be in this situation now.

It would seem that crime in Brazil is rife at the moment. It's a country that possesses high rates of violent crimes such as murders and robberies.

Less than a fortnight ago a gunman who was attempting to rob young children and families outside a school was shot by one of the waiting mums.

The woman turned out to be an off-duty armed police officer.

The man, who has been identified as 21-year-old Elivelton Neves Moreira, lunged towards the crowd with a gun outside a private school in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

CCTV shows the congregation, consisting of mainly children and women, beginning to flee before military police officer, Katia da Silva Sastre, 42, pulls out her own weapon and fires three shots.

Moreira later died in hospital from his injuries and Officer Sastre was honoured in a ceremony by Sao Paulo Governor Márcio França on Sunday despite the 'regrettable outcome'.
