Further details about the incident at Drayton Manor yesterday have emerged which have given greater understanding as to how the 11-year-old schoolgirl died.
The schoolgirl has also since been named as Evha Jannath from Leicester.
The emergency services were called to the theme park in Tamworth, Staffordshire yesterday at 14:18 BST after reports of a person in the water on the ride Splash Canyon.
It is now understood that the girl fell after trying to change seats on the ride. In doing so she suffered serious injuries in the accident and later died in hospital.
It's believed she was enjoying the ride with four friends while teachers were in one of the floating rafts behind.

One eyewitness told the Mirror Online that girl "stood up to move to another seat just when it hit a rock and sent her falling in."
It is then believed that the currents pulled her under, possibly after she had had hit her head on the way in.
One parent also gave the Mail Online a similar account, and said: "My daughter said there was four other girls on the same boat with the girl and the teacher's boat was behind the girls.
"When the girl got up to change seats just then it hit a rock and she got kicked out of the boat and fell in the water and the water currents dragged her in.
"For that reason they couldn't see her after she fell in.
The Splash Canyon ride does not have seat belts but advises riders to stay seated and hold onto a circular rail in the centre.

West Midlands Ambulance, who responded within seven minutes of receiving the call, said: "On arrival, crews discovered a girl with serious injuries who had been rescued from the water by park staff.
"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support before she was flown to Birmingham Children's Hospital with the doctor continuing treatment en-route.
"Unfortunately, shortly after arrival at hospital the girl passed away."
George Bryan, director of Drayton Manor Theme Park, said he was "truly shocked and devastated" by the schoolgirl's death.
