The fiancée of a man who has been charged with killing another man he claimed sold his daughter into sex trafficking has said that she is 'very proud of him'.

Brenda Kross has now spoken out a week after John Eisenman was arrested for the murder of Andrew Sorensen.

Sorensen's body was found in the boot of an abandoned car in Spokane, Washington, before Eisenman was arrested on 29 October.

Kross' daughter Ashleye has started a fundraiser for Eisenman's legal fees, and has so far raised nearly half of the $100,000 goal.

Her mother told local TV station KHQ she was very grateful for the support she has received, adding: "John... It was something that a lot of men say they would do for their daughter."

Kross said her fiancé is 'selfless, very giving, loving and loyal' and said he is 'the best father I could have ever had for my children'.

She added: "I'm very proud of John and I'm blessed to have had him in my life and I want him back home."

The fundraising page states: "This father did the unthinkable for some of us to save his little girl from an unspeakable life that causes long term scars and years of emotional damage.

"He did what most of us as parents would do or think about doing in a situation like this, prior to this he had no violent offenses.

"Many are calling him a hero. I would like to do all we can as a community to help him be a free man and have his day in court to defend his honor and the honor of his daughter."

Mr Eisenman told investigators he learned of his teenage daughter's sale into sex trafficking for $1,000 in October 2020, and then was subsequently able to 'rescue' her and bring her home.

However, he claims he 'obtained information' that Sorensen - his daughter's boyfriend - was responsible and found him at a trailer park elsewhere in the state.

Police then say that he was abducted and placed into the boot of a Honda Accord, before he was struck with a cinder block and stabbed repeatedly until he died.

Then, last month, it was driven to a residential neighbourhood by an unidentified third party, who is not believed to have known there was a body in the trunk.

Eisenman is currently being held on $1,000,000 bail at Spokane County Jail.
