Rockstar Games has released the trailer for Grand Theft Auto Online's next Heist, calling it the 'biggest, most daring, and action-packed addition yet' to the web version of the long-running sandbox crime series. Watch the trailer below:
The Cayo Perico Heist comes to GTA Online on 15 December, with Rockstar dropping the trailer for it today and providing the first information about the update on its site.

"It's time to raise the stakes higher than ever before," the gaming studio writes.
"You've broken a convicted spy out of Bolingbroke Penitentiary. You've saved the world from an egomaniacal tech billionaire. And you've beaten the odds to drain a casino of its cash.
"This time, you're taking on an entire island."
That island, it turns out, is Cayo Perico. It's being described by Rockstar as 'one of the most secure private islands in the entire world'.
Rockstar continues: "It's up to you to find a way to breach Cayo Perico, one of the most secure private islands in the entire world.

"Evade or neutralise the heavily armed security forces stationed there, and escape with valuable evidence along with as much art, gold and drug money as you can carry."
Unlike other heists, this is the first that will allow you to tackle the task solo, although playing with your usual three-man team is also an option.
It looks like there'll be new social spaces to unlock, as well as new weapons, an armoured submarine to get a hold of, and a new radio station too.
"The Cayo Perico Heist is the biggest GTA Online adventure ever, introducing an all-new exotic Heist location, with a brand-new approach to Heist design that features the ability to play everything solo or with up to three other players," Rockstar adds.

"You can acquire new vehicles and tactical weapons, experience new social spaces to dance and party in with your friends, and new world-class guest DJs, and listen to new radio stations with over 100 new songs.
"Oh, and a very large, very versatile, and very heavily armed submarine HQ with plenty of other surprises."
Last week Rockstar challenged GTA Online players around the world to earn $100 billion through Heists within a week. According to Games Radar, the results are in and the game's global community were successful in pulling off the gigantic task

The reward for doing so was a special in-game vehicle, which is to be given to everyone alongside the next big GTA Online update in December. So it looks like a double celebration for players as, alongside the new Cayo Perico Heist, they should all also be getting a special vehicle on 15 December.
Now we just have to wait until it comes to the PlayStation 5, with rumours that it won't be seen until late 2021.
