An incredibly brave police officer pulled a man in a wheelchair out of the direct path of an oncoming train.
Heart-stopping footage shows the moment officer Erica Urrea from the Lodi Police Department of Sacramento in California managed to pull the man from his wheelchair just seconds before it was hit by a train.

Officer Urrea was out driving near to some railway tracks when she saw the man in the wheelchair, who appeared to be stuck on the crossing.
In the background bells can be heard ring as the arms of the railway crossing come down. Officer Urrea flies out of her car and rushes to the tracks.
At first she urges the man: "Come on, get up, get up, get up!" as the train's horn starts to blare.
Then just seconds before the train reaches them, Office Urrea was able to pull the man from the chair and the pair both stumbled backwards.

While Officer Urrea fell completely clear of the tracks, the 66-year-old man's legs were struck by the train.
He is was given emergency medical attention from Urrea and a second officer before being rushed to hospital where he's receiving treatment. Had it not been for Officer Urrea quick thinking and heroic actions, it could have been a lot worse.
The Lodi Police Department issued a statement on their social media channels, writing: "Officer Urrea risked her own life to save another and her actions prevented a tragedy today.

The post has been flooded with praise for her actions, with one person writing: Amazing! This literally gives me chills just watching it!
