Actor Millie Bobby Brown, 17, is threatening legal action against a TikToker who is said to be spreading untruthful rumours.

Reported by TMZ, the TikToker Hunter Ecimovic, 21, who goes by the username @hunter_echoo, has 34 million followers and has alluded to the having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old Millie when Hunter was 20.

On Monday, he took to Instagram Live in which he made several comments of a crude nature about the actor.

He spoke about many graphic incidents and went into vulgar detail about alleged sexual interactions between the two.

Millie Bobby Brown's representatives said in a statement to E Online: "Mr. Ecimovic's remarks on social media are not only dishonest, but also are irresponsible, offensive and hateful.

"Instead of engaging in a public discourse with him through the press or on social media, we are taking action to ensure that he stops this behavior once and for all."

Hunter claims Millie's parents knew about the relationship because he had been living in her home for eight months. He also described himself as having 'groomed' the young actor.

The 21-year-old also refused to apologise for his accusations about their sex life.

He said: "You guys don't know anything. You guys are just following after one person saying one thing, like, everybody hates him so that everyone's going to hate me.

"You guys just follow each other like a big duck followed by little ducks. Whatever the top thing is, you just follow up."

"You guys don't know the story of anything, and I will never apologize. I hope you know that."

Since the incident, Hunter's Instagram page isn't active but many images and videos have surfaced on social media.

Taking to TikTok to address the Instagram Live stream today (14 July), Hunter said: "It should never have happened in the first place. That was a stupid idea on my part to think it was gonna be OK to continue to go live as it was getting more and more negative in the comments.

"I said stuff that shouldn't have been said. It was just so stupid.

"There's already stories that are completely not correct, it's all been fabricated. Half of it, you guys are spreading stuff that's not true at all.

"Besides the point, the live stream I am sorry for. I should have ended the moment it started getting bad but I chose not to. I just want to let you know that I'm not OK with what I said."

The age of consent in California, where Hunter currently lives, is 18 while Millie being a British citizen, the age of consent is 16 and applies to another area that she lives in, Atlanta, Georgia.

The British actor is currently dating the son of Jon Bon Jovi, Jake Bongiovi, who is studying at Syracuse University and is 19 years old.

The Stranger Things actor made her on screen debut on the Netflix series in 2016 when she was 12. Since then she has also starred in Netflix film Enola Holmes.
