Fans of Money Heist will be buzzing to watch part one of the final season this Friday (3 September). You can watch the trailer below:
The previous season ended with the gang being trapped in the national bank in a Butch Cassidy-style stand-off with the army.

The official synopsis for season five reads: "The gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours.
"They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own.
"The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn't have an escape plan.
"Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they've faced: the army.

"The end of the greatest heist in history is approaching, and what began as a robbery will turn into a war."
Director Álex Pina told Entertainment Weekly: "We are moving from a chess game - a mere intellectual strategy - to a war strategy: attack and contention.
"We always try that our opponents be charismatic, intelligent, shiny. In this case, in pure war film genre, we also look for characters whose intelligence can measure up against The Professor's.

"Adrenaline is within Money Heist's DNA. Every thirty seconds things take place and disrupt the characters, a turn of the screw to the action.

Volume one of Money Heist season five drops this Friday, with volume two set to follow on 3 December.

Would-be thieves in London, Paris, Miami, Mexico City and New York will be recruited into the notorious gang and challenged with sneaking into a host of international targets, including La Monnaie de Paris - the French mint.
Directed by 'the Professor', the group will attempt to infiltrate these institutions - specific to the region - and prove they have what it takes to be part of the infamous crew.
