Rumour has it there's some sort of event happening today? A wedding or something? Between an American actress and some British dude?

Just kidding! As we all know, today is the day Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get hitched. While it all seems like one big fairytale right now, it appears the princess-to-be was given a bit of stern advice from her co-stars while working on the hit US show Suits.

The Mirror reports that Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres - who spent seven years filming with Meghan and have all bagged invites to the big day - opened up about the royal romance during a pit-stop on the Today show yesterday.

Explaining that Meghan confided in them after learning she was dating Prince Hazza before anyone else caught wind, they decided to give Meghan some age words of advice.

Rick, who plays Louis Litt on Suits, said it was a surprise when he first found out. "I had gotten the news early, and I was like, 'You got to be kidding me.' And it was like, both of us in the trailer like, 'Oh my. You're going - you're dating a prince?'"

What a trip! After the news sunk in, Rick offered up his words of wisdom: "I was just like, 'Well, take it slow. Be careful. Don't let him hurt you.'"

As many of you will know, Meghan and Hazza met on a blind date back in 2016 and kept their relationship on the downlow until later that year. However, as co-star Sarah revealed, Meghan confided in them during these early days.

"[She said] that he's lovely. You know, they're a great match," added Sarah. "We worked so many years together on a show.

"We were with each other for longer than we went to college or high school. We became family in a way. We're still family. This is a wonderful family affair."

Although the cast members were pretty tightknit and Meghan did open up about her relationship with Harry (let's face it, who wouldn't?), Gina - who plays boss Jessica Pearson - said she was still tightlipped about the juicy details.

She said: "We knew she was excited. And there was reason to keep it, you know, close to the vest."

Obviously the three are now over the moon for Meghan, who has got her own happily ever after (and then some). They're even more stoked they got an invite to the wedding.

"You hope, as we all do, the best for her. This is an incredible step in her life. To bear witness to that is extraordinary," said Gina.
