A woman was left utterly baffled after a man she briefly dated three years ago popped up with a message.

Sophie Ward (@SophieRoseWard) from London went on a date with a man she met on Hinge, though it seems it wasn't meant to be after things didn't progress from there.

Three years on, however, he slid back into her DMs and the 25-year-old took to Twitter to showcase her confusion.

As per Daily Mail, Sophie, who now lives with her wife, tweeted: "How has this Hinge boy just got back to me three years later?!?!?

"Yeah, just travelled Australasia and now live with my wife."

Besides her tweet was a screenshot of the WhatsApp conversation from 2019.

She said: "I'm leaving for travels on 25th March. And [literally] squeezing in seeing everyone in the next few weeks seeing as I don't have a return flight lol."

To which her date replied: "Oooh where you going? Maybe I could be squeezed into this schedule."

Sophie then explained how she would be going to Australasia and that it would be easier if they lived nearby.

Her date continued to ask: "Some time next week?"

Sophie replied: "What day works for ya."

However, she got completely blanked with no response... only for three years later to get a reply.

He remarkably responded: "Heyyy this is random, but how're you?"

In a Twitter thread below she also revealed she's been 'wifed up since 2020'.

Users in the comments were loving the exchange after it racked up over 11,000 likes.

One user joked: "You took 3 days to reply to their question before so that's on you."

While Sophie replied: "He needs to get over it x."

Another quipped: "You take 3 days, he takes 3 years, your move now, play the long game."

While someone else suggested to write, 30 years later, 'I'm k thanks'.

Sadly, however, Sophie confirmed to LADbible that in fact she did not respond to his latest reply. Maybe she's giving it a few years...
