​Donald Trump Says His Nuclear Button Is 'Bigger And More Powerful' Than Kim Jong-un's

President Trump sent out a warning tweet to North Korea on Tuesday night - but not without bragging about the size of his, er, nuclear button.

In an annual speech given by Kim Jong-un, the supreme leader warned that not only was 'the entire United States' within range of North Korea's nuclear weapons, but also that nuclear button is always on his desk. He also added that his message was not blackmail, but 'reality'.

A pretty strong statement to be sending out - and one that Trump wasn't going to let slide without some kind of comeback.

He took to Twitter to explain that not only did he also have a nuclear button, but that his was also 'much bigger' and 'more powerful', saying: "North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the 'Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.' Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!"

It wasn't long before his tweet was condemned by Democrats and foreign policy experts.

Eliot Cohen, a former top official in the George W Bush administration and a Trump critic, said that Trump had 'spoken like a petulant ten year old'.

He also said: "How responsible people around him, or supporting him, can dismiss this or laugh it off is beyond me."

He also added: "This is our commander-in-chief. Think about it."

CNN reporter Hunter Schwarz called Trump out a little more simply, saying that his supposed nuclear button was actually to summon Diet Coke.

Their rivalry is, of course, by no means a new thing. Trump has also previously referred to Kim as 'little rocket man'. One time Kim also called Trump 'old', before Trump essentially called him 'short and fat'.

He added: "Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen."

Not looking too likely at the moment, fella.

Global politics takes weird turns all the time, sure... but we didn't really expect to find the leaders of the United States and North Korea arguing about whose was bigger.
