Hilarious moment terrified lad blacks out on rollercoaster

Liam was convinced to get on the ride, but it didn't end well

Rollercoasters really aren't for everyone. As one lad found out the hard way. Have a look at how he handled it:

Most people who are terrified of rides tend to stay away from them. It's what you might call 'the logical response'.

However, Liam Owens, from Newport, Wales, went against conventional wisdom recently and decided to test himself during a trip to the Colour Clash festival at Tredegar Par on 15 July.

After being egged on by his mate, the 26-year-old built up the courage to get on the pendulum ride.

And it went about as badly as you might expect.

Predicting it was going to be a good one, Thomas, 28, decided to film Liam's reaction to the stomach churning £10-a-go amusement.

In the clip, Liam appears to instantly regret his decision, and starts screaming: "No, no, no, no!"

Totally freaked out, the poor lad then clutches his head before eventually passing out - much to Thomas' amusement.

Luckily, he was alright and came back around once the ride stopped.

Speaking about the experiment, Thomas said: "He was freaked out, and he was saying, 'There’s no way I can do this. I really don’t want to do this'.

"But I just kept motivating him, just saying, 'You only live once' and 'If you don’t go on, you’ll regret it'.

"He passed out for about ten or 15 seconds, and I couldn’t stop laughing when he came off the ride."

Who needs enemies when you've got best friends, eh?

The 26-year-old eventually blacked out.

Liam had apparently been 'adamant' that he would not be stepping foot on the ride after his mate spotted it at the festival.

But while he proved a little difficult to convince, Thomas eventually managed to twist his arm, and even paid for his ticket.

"Liam had told me, 'I’m not going on there. There’s no way I’m going on there', but I said, 'You are!'," Thomas recalled.

"We were all waiting in the queue as there was a few of us that wanted to go on, and he was definitely adamant that he wouldn’t.

"But I had paid for him, and they said they wouldn’t refund it, and everyone else had gone on, so I said I’d come on with him."

Thomas (left) is hoping to take his mate on the tallest rollercoaster in Europe.

Despite the experience, though, Liam now hopes to get his mate one of the tallest rollercoasters in Europe which has opened at Barry Island, near where they live.

He said: "There’s a big ride, I think it’s the biggest one in Europe, which has just opened up in Barry Island, which is a seaside resort in Wales.

"And I’m really tempted to take him down there and get him to go on that one. I think he’s going to need a bit of dutch courage to go on that one."

Godspeed, Liam.
