There could an explanation as to why you don't feel yourself at the moment

It turns out that there could be a reason why you're feeling 'weird or anxious' right now.

OK, so if you're feeling not quite right at the moment it could of course be down to a lot of things.

But it seems that astrologers are putting our personal health down to something a lot more, shall we say, 'scientific'.

Apparently it's all got to do with something called the Mercury Retrograde.

No it's not an 80s rock band, rather it refers to the way the planet is moving.

It's basically a cosmic optical illusion that sees Mercury begin to move further backwards through the sky.

It usually happens three or four times a year, making the planet appear to move in the opposite direction than it usually does.

This apparently can cause tech glitches, miscommunications, and the possibility of exes popping up like bad Wi-Fi.

According to LA-based astrologer Evan Nathaniel Grim, this can be a month of harsh reality checks for some couples.

"Those reality checks and epiphanies could prompt a separation for some couples, however, it could also help them solidify a relationship or reaffirm their commitments," he explained to Femail.

"People with major placements from 0-4 degrees of the mutable signs (Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini) and 21-29 degrees of the fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio) will be most personally affected by this retrograde since Mercury will be in a hard aspect to their placements in these areas of the zodiac."

Although the Mercury Retrograde is said to last 23 days this month, it isn't all doom and gloom, says Grim.

He added: "I would suggest building in extra time for potential delays.

"Plan ahead for travel delays, proofread your emails and texts before sending them, postpone important contract negotiations or purchases if possible, prioritise the completion of unfinished projects, and seek closure with unresolved conversations."

In fact, there's a lot of good that can come from the cosmic event with it being a chance to really work on yourself and to cut down on the negative energy.

"This retrograde really offers a chance to rediscover a sense of romance, excitement and joy," the astrologer added.

"You can infuse your relationships with a bit more novelty and passion.

"You could finally complete a creative project you’re proud of.

"And you can find the hidden magic of your local environment or neighbourhood."

Grim noted that there will be 'two parts' to the retrograde.

He says people should focus on their mental health up until 14 August.

And then after that they need to take a look at their relationships until the astrological phenomenon ends on 27 August.

Good luck everyone.
