Study finds drinking Coke or Pepsi could increase the size of your testicles

Study finds drinking Coke or Pepsi could increase the size of your testicles

Researchers have unlocked the secret to getting a pair of supersized nuts.

If you're a guy and a big fan of cola, well this might be some welcome news for you.

A new study has found drinking Pepsi or Coca-Cola might give you a special kind of refreshment that other fizzy drinks can't reach.

And, fellas, we mean all the way down to your testes. Your balls. Your bollocks. Your meat and two veg, but just the veg bit.

Anyway, silly nicknames aside, back to the main event.

New research on mice indicated that the adult male rodents who drank Coca-Cola or Pepsi had higher testosterone levels and greater gonads when compared with their peers.

Researchers conducted a number of tests on the rodents, which included weighing their tiny little testes and drawing blood on day one, as well as day five, seven, 10 and 15 of the study.

Ah, one sip and you're on your way to a pair of massive balls.

Researchers quickly uncovered that mice drinking 100 per cent Coke and Pepsi, when compared to the mixture of soft drink and water, had more swollen sacks compared to their half-and-half mates.

The study, conducted by the Northwest Minzu University in China, was attempting to determine if there were any links between carbonated beverages, fertility, and the male sex organ.

The study concluded: "Drinking Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola could promote testis development and enhance testosterone secretion.

"Our findings provided the scientific bases for fully understanding carbonated beverages effects and their mechanism on development and reproduction functions of humans, but also benefit to prevent prostate dysfunction and cancer."

The findings, published in the journal Acta Endocrinol, appears to contradict other studies that indicate sugary drinks can have a negative impact on your testicles.

Or large pals, if you're a cola fan.

That being said, researchers are not suggesting that blokes should rush out and buy Coca-Cola or Pepsi in bulk.

Previous studies have linked the high in sugar sodas to a wealth of health issues including obesity, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and tooth decay.

And, while the research does suggest that drinking large doses of Pepsi and Coca-Cola soft drinks may well improve testosterone levels and give you the testicles of a titan, it doesn't necessarily mean men would be more fertile.

Researchers revealed that the mice used in the study do not mate, so that side of things is inconclusive.

So it's back to the drawing board when it comes to ball research.
