Landlords are getting more and more brazen these days, charging people a squillion pounds for rent or claiming cupboards under the stairs are 'luxury' bedrooms.
But now one dodgy landlord in Wales has taken sleaziness to another level as he was caught on camera inviting a woman to stay at his place rent-free - if she had sex with him once a week.

The revelation comes as part of a reportedly growing 'sex for rent' trend in Wales where lone landlords advertise their properties on Craiglist, offering dropped prices in return for 'alternative' forms of payment.

In a conversation with an undercover reporter for ITV Wales, the landlord was captured making the proposition on a hidden camera as they discussed the deal over a drink.
"I don't want to suggest anything that makes you run a mile but I want to help you out," the landlord told the reporter.
"I don't know if you have heard of a sort of a 'friends with benefits' sort of arrangement."
The cheeky landlord advertised the property in the Welsh capital of Cardiff as having a rent of £650pcm ($900), although he added that a 'reduced deposit/rent' was available for 'alternative payments'.

Posing as a woman interesting in the arrangement, investigator Siân Thomas managed to record the man saying how he hoped the deal would work if she chose to move in.
The dodgy landowner offered Siân a one-bedroom annex at his property rent-free in exchange for sex once a week.
Amazingly, it isn't illegal in the UK to post adverts online offering this type of arrangement. However, it is a offence to actually agree the deal, as it essentially incites someone to become a prostitute.

As the crime is outlined under the Sexual Offences Act 2003, pulling a stunt like this can easily end up with the perpetrator placed on the sex offenders register - which is an extraordinarily high price to pay given the alternative is simply to have the tenant pay rent
Siôn Jenkins, a reporter for Ein Byd - the S4C programme which broadcast the footage last night - contacted the landlord after the meeting to ask him for his comments. He quickly begged the reporters not to publish the footage, saying it would 'expose him as a monster'.
"I should have trusted my gut and not done this. I'm such a fool, but this will ruin everything I have left everywhere," he is reported to have said.

Welsh Labour politician Dawn Bowden, a member of the Welsh Assembly, said: "You've got to get to the point where we identify these people and they are prosecuted. Once you've got a few prosecutions, that will give people the confidence to come forward and report it.
"But it is extremely difficult for people that are in absolutely desperate circumstances - they need somewhere to live, they need a roof over their head - and for some people, this is the only way they can get it."
