Convicted drug dealer Ben Scott has avoided jail time for his attacks on Royal Marine Cpl Marc Jolly.
According to The Mirror, Scott attacked the decorated soldier, who has served in Afghanistan, from behind in a car park after a night out.
The attack occurred on Christmas Eve last year and although the whole thing was captured on CCTV, Scott has avoided jail time.

He then took to Facebook to celebrate his 'win' with champagne and a clear lack of respect for capital letters.

Police describe the Facebook post as 'despicable' and prosecutors could now appeal the original sentence.
Marc returned home at Christmas to spend time with his family when he was attacked in Camborne, Cornwall.

"He hit me on the back of my head and knocked me to the ground. He stamped and kicked me on the floor," he told The Mirror.

"The manly thing to do is fight someone face to face so they have a fighting chance but to spring up on someone is cowardly."
Scott, from Cornwall, who pleaded guilty to one charge of assault causing actual bodily harm, was given a 16-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, and told to pay Marc £4,000 in compensation.
Scott has apparently refused to apologise for his actions.
Comments on the Facebook post seem to suggest there are two sides to the story but there has been no word on that anywhere in the press, so it remains an unknown factor.
