Viewers demand 'jail time' after streamer crashes McLaren whilst filming leaving his friend bleeding inside

Viewers demand 'jail time' after streamer crashes McLaren whilst filming leaving his friend bleeding inside

The content creator was streaming at the time of the crash

Viewers have been left horrified and demanding 'jail time' after watching footage of streamer and influencer Jack Doherty crashing his McLaren.

The 20-year-old YouTuber and content creator has made headlines after footage emerged of him crashing his high-powered McLaren supercar into the railing on a dual carriageway.

It would appear that Doherty had been live-streaming on Kick at the time of the crash, with footage from the incident subsequently appearing online.

In the videos - which have been shared on X - the content creator appears to be driving down a highway in heavy rain while seemingly distracted by his phone. It's unclear what exactly causes Doherty to lose control of his vehicle, as he begins to swerve to the right and smashes into the railing.

The video then cuts to the aftermath of the crash, where a shocked Doherty can be seen standing outside the car exclaiming 'Holy s**t' before turning the camera towards his cameraman Michael, who is bleeding from the face, and asking: "Are you okay?"

"Oh my god bro, my whole f**king car bro," he adds, showing the car wedged under the barricade with parts of the bonnet strewn across the road. He then hands the phone to his injured friend and asks him to continue recording.

Another video depicts the moment onlookers pulled Doherty and his friend from the car.

Witnesses rescued the content creator and his friend from the car while they continue filming, with Doherty heard saying: "My f**king car, holy s**t no."

Doherty later shared updates on the aftermath of the crash on his social media accounts, confirming that both he and his cameraman Michael were not seriously injured in the incident, however, Michael did require stitches to his face.

The video creator has also posted an update on his own account, thanking everyone who reached out to check if he was okay after seeing the video.

While Doherty's followers were relieved to see that he and Michael were safe a lot of people online were not impressed by the video and have called for the content creator to face repercussions for his actions.

"License suspended, jail time," one person wrote on X. "This is well documented reckless driving. At a minimum he should be banned on all platforms for this."

"Irresponsible driving," a second person commented, while a fourth added: "So your telling me he started recording the moment the crash happened… yeah wtf."

It would also appear that Doherty's Kick channel has been removed in the wake of the incident, with a link to his page now coming up with an error message.

It's unclear where exactly Doherty had crashed, a road sign spotted in his video suggests he was in Florida, however, it's worth noting that all of the US states (with the exception of Montana) have restrictions on using your phone while driving.

LADbible group has approached Doherty's representatives and Kick for comment.
