The President has remained in Ukraine's capital to be with his people and has stared down Russian forces with incredible strength and defiance.
It seems like the whole world has fallen in love with the comedian and TV star turned President, which is why Cawthorn's comments have created such a stir.

One of Cawthorn's opponents in the Congressional District election, Michele Woodhouse, said the Republican's comments were 'boorish' and she feels like Zelenskyy is a 'hero'.
Republican Senator Chuck Edwards added that it's not Zelenskyy who has ordered his troops into a foreign country.
"Let’s be clear. The thug is Vladimir Putin," he said on Twitter. "We must unite as a nation to pray for President Zelenskyy and the brave people of Ukraine who are fighting for their lives and their freedom.
"Anything less is counter to everything we stand for in America."

According to WRAL, Cawthorn walked back on his 'thug' and 'corrupt' comments in a seemingly-now deleted post on social media.
The new outlet claims the Republican agreed that Vladimir Putin's actions are 'disgusting' while also promoting his solidarity with Ukraine.
"I am praying for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people," he said.
