People have been urged to be extra vigilant when withdrawing cash after someone spotted a hidden box that steals money at their ATM. Watch below:
A Nationwide customer was trying to take some cash out from a hole in the wall when they realised that something wasn't quite right.

The TikTok user, going by the handle @hasanoriginal, shared a video to his channel to warn others to make sure they check the ATM is legit before using them.
In the video, he can be seen approaching a machine on a main road, however, where the slot should be for the money to come out, there is a long plate blocking the gap and preventing notes from being dispensed.
He says: "I came to the cash point and inserted my card. I wanted to draw out some money, so I typed in my pin.
"Up on the screen came the selections, I selected the money and I waited for the cash. And they said the cash to follow but no cash came out."

He then pans the camera around to show there were no notices stating any issues with the machine.
And on closer inspection of the actual ATM, he notices that there is a strip of plastic covering the note dispenser.
Peeling it back, he then explains that he found his money trapped behind it.
He says: "What someone had done was they had put this plastic plate over there so that the cash would come out but wouldn't come out of the machine, it would stay there.

"This is a warning for all of you to be careful.
"When it says 'cash to follow' or 'cash being dispensed', always make sure that the two holes where cash goes in or out are available."
A Nationwide spokesperson told the Sun: "The type of incident highlighted in the video, although rare, can happen to ATMs anywhere at any time.

"Nationwide has a range of measures in place to try and combat these types of scams.
"However, as the video also demonstrates, it is important that people remain vigilant and check for anything suspicious when using ATMs, especially those located outside."
Trade body UK Finance said that while cash machines are 'generally very safe to use', it urged Brits be aware that some could be tampered with.

"If you notice anything suspicious or unusual about an ATM, such as signs of tampering, don't use it and if possible, alert nearby staff or call the police," a spokesperson said.
"If no cash comes out or your card is jammed, report it immediately to your bank or building society, ideally by calling them while you are still in front of the machine."
