One Aussie bloke has attracted a little unwanted attention after posting a video on social media showing him and another man riding a moped naked into a Bali pool.

Aussies have a pretty terrible reputation in Indonesia.

Whether it's fly-kicking strangers on bikes or just getting rip-roaring drunk at Potato Head, there are loads of horror stories from people who get a little too carried away when they're on holiday.

But this 23-year-old Perth man insists that he wasn't offending the locals with the stunt - which has racked up thousands of likes and comments on social media. Incredibly the bike still seemed to work after the incident.

According to 9News, there were loads of Indonesians in the comments section that weren't happy with the video.

One person described the incident as 'unnecessary and shameful'.

Another added: "Aussies whom behave like this are just bringing shame and negative image to Oz, and an eyesore too."

But the man who rode the bike and posted the video on social media has hit back at his critics, telling the news network: "My reason for doing it was an alcohol-influenced situation. I'm not too bothered by people saying I'm immature.

"I just don't want people thinking it's a rental scooter... [or that] I'm disrespecting the locals."

The man says he holidays in Bali for four months every year and he's very aware of the local customs and rules. He added that he owns the scooter that was run into the pool.

Bali's governor has warned that Aussies can and will be kicked out of the country if they're found to be doing anything too naughty.

Governor I Wayan Koster is fed up with people flocking to the island's shores every day and causing a ruckus.

He told reporters: "In the future, if there are tourists behaving like that we should just send them home, they are being disorderly coming to Bali. We will give them this warning.

"There needs to be more order, from the services and facilities at tourist attractions, as well as the ethics of tourists. We will give a standard for guidance."
