The Queen Is Hiring Someone To Run Her Social Media Accounts
If you're out there looking for a job and are a bit of a whizz at social media - or at least more of a whizz than a 93-year-old woman - then here's the job for you.
The Queen - yes, The Queen - is looking for a social media guru to boost her online profile, as if she needs it.
Not bad, eh?
The advertised position is for a Head of Digital Engagement and the successful candidate will work from Monday to Friday each week as a member of the royal communications team out of Buckingham Palace.
Not sure if there's a Spar nearby to get something to eat, but there's definitely worse places to work.
In exchange for all of this, you'll be responsible for Her Maj's 4.1m Twitter followers and 6.9m Instagram followers.
Apparently, Elizabeth II is keen to boost her online profile, presumably to Kendall Jenner-like levels.
Seriously though, who hasn't heard of her? She's just about the most recognisable person on the bloody planet.
It could be a bit of internal competition, perhaps?
By British Royal Family standards, Liz is lagging behind. Wills and Kate have got 10.4m Instagram fans across their Kensington Palace account, whereas Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Sussex Royal page boasts 9.9m folks.
An advert for The Queen's comms position reads: "It is about never standing still and finding new ways to maintain the Queen's presence in the public eye and on the world stage.
"This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.
"The role of Royal Communications is to engage a worldwide audience with the public role and work of The Royal Family.
"Joining this fast paced and dynamic team, your challenge will be to lead on and develop our digital communications strategy, and ensure that we make effective use of a range of digital platforms to support these aims."
It continues: "You'll provide digital and editorial leadership to a small team of digital media specialists, drive the content strategy of our digital channels, and work with colleagues across the organisation to continuously improve our digital presence.
"Whether you're covering a State Visit, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you'll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences."
Sound like the job for you? Well, get applying.
