Woman calls for child-free suburbs because she doesn't want to live near screaming kids

All she wanted was to swim laps without being jumped on by disruptive, noisy children.

A woman has gone viral after calling for 'adults only' suburbs so grown-ups can finally enjoy some 'peace and quiet'.

Kitch Catterall took to social media to vent after an incident at a swimming pool in Melbourne.

The TikToker told her followers that she was 'so sick' of having to put up with 'screaming' children.

"I would like to know when somebody is planning on opening an adult’s only suburb, where everything in it is only for adults," Catterall said in the now-viral video.

"Because I am so sick of going places and kids are just everywhere screaming and I just have to put up with it."

The Melbourne woman revealed she had swung by her local pool to do some laps, but was thwarted by a gaggle of noisy kids.

Even though there was a separate section for children, the kids were still 'jumping and screaming' while adults were trying to swim laps.

Catterall said: "That is just allowed because they are allowed everywhere."

"I just feel like for people like me that are evil and hate kids we should have our own suburb where we can just be quiet and undisturbed."

Further down in the comments section, she doubled down: "I just wanted to have a calm swim in the evening and not be splashed at and jumped on."

The video, which has since amassed more than 246,000 views, was uploaded with the caption: “I know I'm evil but they're SO loud. Please, I want peace and quiet. Are there adults only pools in Melbourne?"

And, well, it seems many people are on board with Catterall's idea, including parents.

One person said: "After getting my three boys ready for school this morning, I totally feel this."

A second commented: "Child free pools, restaurants, movies and planes would be amazing - from a mum."

A third added: "I love kids and I still love this idea and would move there."

Others lashed out at her, reminding the woman she 'used to be a kid'.

One person hit back at that point, adding: "I'll also be a corpse at some point doesn't mean I want to go places full of them either."

Burn.

Others pointed out there are already places like that: retirement villages.

Catterall jokingly replied: "I wish they’d let me move in already."
