An Irish man has been doing the rounds online as he described the turbulence he just went through onboard a flight, in truly hilarious fashion.

You can take a look at his brilliant reaction to the incident below:

Following the news of the shocking events of Singapore Airlines flight SQ321, a flight from Doha to Dublin run by Qatar Airways also underwent severe turbulence.

Flight QR017 experienced turbulence 'while airborne over Turkey', about two hours into the flight.

Eight passengers have been taken to hospital following the events of the flight on Sunday 26 May, according to RTE News.

Dublin Airport released a statement yesterday that six passengers and six cabin crew were injured during turbulence on the flight, which touched down in the Irish capital before 1pm.

Emergency services were seen waiting by the runaway around the plane following it landing, as Dublin Airport said in an updated statement that all passengers were assessed for injury before getting off the plane, with eight in hospital.

The Dublin Airport Authority (the DAA) stated: "Eight on board were subsequently taken to hospital. The return flight to Doha (flight QR018) is scheduled to operate as normal this afternoon, albeit with a delay."

Qatar Airways also said that 'a small number of passengers and crew sustained minor injuries in flight and are now receiving medical attention', and they later added: "The matter is now subject to an internal investigation."

But one man onboard has been going viral on social media after being on the flight itself, and describing his experience during the turbulence on the news.

In truly Irish fashion, his re-telling of the story was priceless, with a more light hearted take of the situation.

"Next minute, woah - dinner came off my lap, food all over the plane, on the ceiling, everywhere," he explained with numerous hand gestures.

"This managed to happen," he said, while turning around and revealing a big rip on the back of his shorts.

He signed off perfectly: "So yeah, it was just atrocious."

The dramatic telling focused on the food aspect of the flight had users chuckling on X, formerly Twitter.

One user posted: "It’s the 'oh' from the reporter that sent me.

"Irish people are so unintentionally hilarious."

Another user said: "I thought he had wet himself with fear and they were going to show it on TV," talking about when he turned around to show his shorts rip.

A third put: "The noise and hand movement killed me. Screaming," with a laughing emoji.

Props to the man for his story-telling skills though, that's surely something he has to add to his CV.
