Many of us have had a good go at cutting hair over the last year. Whether that's trimming your pal's bob, attempting a 'sick fade' which turns into a number one all over... or even hacking away at your pooch's fur. Here's the outcome of the latter:
TikToker Fernie Montufar, who uses the handle @fernaliciousdeff, decided to save herself $50 (£35) by cutting her pet's coat but it didn't turn out how she envisaged it.

The initial video, which has been watched by over four million people, shows her pooch pre-groom before cutting to what looks like a completely different breed of dog afterwards.
She captioned the clip: "Pls for the love of God, don't come at me. I genuinely tried my best and feel horrible. I'm buying her an outfit tmrw."
In a later video, Fernie said: "She knew that she just had to smile through the pain and she's fine. I do not abuse my dog, I did not do this on purpose."
A while later she posted another video of her poor dog on a walk, saying: "Guys, it's not as bad as it looked. She she's rocking the new hair cut."
The initial video has racked up over 880,000 likes with nearly 14,000 comments and more than 20,000 shares.

Commenting on the chop, many people thought they were two different dogs. One wrote: "Bro left the shop a different breed," while another added: "DID YOU CHANGE HER ENTIRE BREED AS WELL?!?!"
A third commented: "I thought these were two different dogs."
I mean, it's not hard to understand the logic at work here.
Another person wrote: "This ain't abuse but it's definitely something," while a rather cruel reply reads: "From Yorkie to 12 year old dog found on the street." Get in the bin, it isn't that bad.

Still, it could always be worse - one dog had its tongue cut off during a haircut. Yes, the tip of its tongue. HORRENDOUS.
The pooch, called Scott, was having a grooming session at a pet shop in São Paulo, Brazil.
Scott's owner Vanda Souza expressed her fury on Facebook, writing: "Today we took him for a trim, and when I went to pick him up, this is what I came across. They cut his tongue.
"My heart can't take all this sadness. I even paid for this because they charged me. Unbelievable!

"He was always a happy dog. Today my dog's eyes are weeping from pain and fear. He still hasn't eaten or even drunk. Take care of your animals.
"Take them to whoever does their job lovingly. My Scott, my boy, my four-legged son, I want justice."
We want justice, too.
