Mark and Cindy Hill won nearly $300 million (£227 million) on the Powerball in America and decided to give something back.

They built an incredible, state-of-the-art fire station and ambulance service for their town in Missouri after fire volunteers saved Mark's father's life - twice.

After winning the money back in November 2012, the family has done quite a lot. Two more children have been adopted and they've also enjoyed life a bit with some new cars and a fair few holidays, according to Fox News.

The building, which has heated floors, is energy efficient and is designed to last for decades, houses both fire trucks and ambulances.

Mark said: "You know what? If my wife and I could have built this without anybody knowing that she and I were building it, that's exactly what we would have done.

"I'm just proud to be a part of it... I'm proud that this is in my family, and I'm proud to know there's an ambulance service right here. I mean, how many towns of 500 people have an ambulance service that's manned 24-7 - very few - I'm proud to be part of that."

He continued: "My wife and I were able to pay them back."

Mark sat down and planned the building meticulously with architects, the fire district and contractors to make sure that they got it right.

Steve Folck of the Camden Point Fire District Board spoke of his appreciation of the gift: "We're very, very blessed and we don't take it lightly that we've been given this beautiful structure to maintain on behalf of the community."

How many lottery winners have done something that awesome with their winnings?!

This family are heroes. What an amazing story.
