Meet The Woman Attempting To Be The UK's First Plus-Size Disabled Model

Meet Katie Knowles, the woman who plans on becoming the UK's first ever plus-size disabled model.

The 25-year-old was diagnosed with disc degenerative disease and spinal stenosis when she was just 15. A condition which could ultimately leave her paralysed.

After surgery, and many months of rehabilitation, Katie was desperate to live an active life once more but her condition meant just four years later, she was back under the knife.

A year later, the future model took her first steps since the second surgery and now alternates between walking on crutches and using her wheelchair.

Then she came across a charity called Models of Diversity who approached her during her rehabilitation. The rest, as they say, is history...

Fingers crossed it all works out well for Katie.
