One marine LAD cut short his tour to surprise him Mum nine months early, just because it was it her birthday.
Birthday girl Amy was sat on the sofa when there was a knock at the door at the family home in Waxahachie, Texas, US.

As she got to her feet she was told, "It's probably just Brian" - another member of the family.
However, as she peered around the door, she realised it wasn't Brian. As you can see in the video below, it was in fact her son Brandon, who wasn't scheduled to be home until Christmas.

Understandably, there was a wealth of emotion from Amy who screamed, 'Oh my God' when she realised what was going on. The pair hugged and cried as they were reunited.
Watching on with 'tear-filled' eyes was Amy's husband, William. He said: "It was a very emotional moment, almost everyone in there was tearing up.
"We were all so excited to have him back, and we couldn't wait to see how my wife would react - we weren't sure what she'd do.
"My son managed to fly home for a recruiting assistance assignment and made sure to time it right for her birthday.

He added: "Amy said it was the best birthday present ever, she was so happy to have him home.
"It was so lovely to be back together as a family again."
Brandon asked his mother, 'You didn't expect me to come?' upon arriving. The first-class private has been in the marines since September 2016.
Amy told the family that they weren't 'very nice' for keeping it a secret.
