Terminally Ill Little Lad's Desperate Plea To Meet Iron Man

Terminally Ill Little Lad's Desperate Plea To Meet Iron Man

Let's help make this happen!

This little lad is Aaron Hunter and he wants to get in touch with Iron Man.

The seven-year-old, from West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, is currently fighting an extremely rare terminal illness and he needs our help. Like most kids, he loves superheroes. However, he especially loves Iron Man. And who can blame him?! Robert Downey Jr is a class act and to be fair, probably the best one out of The Avengers (no offence, Hulk).

He was diagnosed with ROHHAD, which is an incurable syndrome. It's so rare that it only affects 100 people in the UK and therefore there's no money from the government to find a cure.

Aaron has taken matters into his own hands.

He decided to raise the money himself to find a cure after one of his friends with the same condition tragically died.

As he loves jumping in puddles, he decided to get his friends and family to jump in puddles too. They then donated cash, plus word began spreading about ROHHAD. To him, awareness of the condition is just as important as the money. What a lad.

He even managed to get Nicola Sturgeon (Scotland's First Minister) to jump in a puddle.

Aaron decided that he wanted to involve his hero, Iron Man, as well as the rest of the Avengers. He told his mum, Elisabeth: "They are the good guys and they will help us mummy I know they will."

He released this video...

He says: "Hello, my name is Aaron Hunter and I need to speak to Iron Man.

"Iron Man if you see this I really, really need your help.

"I have a very bad disease called ROHHAD and it's really hard sometimes because it is rare. The doctors don't have a cure yet. Some of my friends with ROHHAD have died.

"I don't want any more of my friends to die. We need your help Iron Man. I am trying to raise awareness and money to help my doctors find a cure.

"Iron Man I had an idea last year and I need your help. I wrote a letter to you and all the Avengers, but I don't think you got it because you haven't done my challenge yet.

"ROHHAD is evil and I need your help to defeat it. I really want to save my friends. Can you please help me and do my 'go mad jump for ROHHAD' challenge.

"Loads of other people have done it. I have loved watching their videos but we still don't have enough money so I really need your help.

"My mum says you might be coming to Scotland soon. Can you please come and see me so I can talk to you about it?

"I really, really need your help. Please help me Iron Man. I love you and I want to become a superhero like you."

Funnily enough, Robert Downey Jr is coming to Scotland to film the new Avengers movie, Infinity War within the next week. A source told the Daily Record: "The Outlander cast had their end-of-season wrap party last week so the Avengers cast are now booked in.

"They'll be arriving in the next week or so.

"The Wardpark studios will be used for all the CGI and green screen stuff and the cast and crew will be spending a lot of time in Cumbernauld.

"A huge chunk of the on-location filming will be in Edinburgh's Old Town, so they'll get to see some of the famous parts of Scotland while they're here."

So come on, lads. Let's help this little superhero fan get his wish.

If you want to help, Tweet Robert Downey Jr and ask him to #GoMadForROHHAD - surely we can sort it out so this lad and his hero can come together.

His mum, Elisabeth, told TheLADbible: "Aaron meeting his favourite hero would be an absolute dream come true. Not just for him, but for all the kids fighting ROHHAD.

"He would be so incredibly happy, whenever he talks about him and his hopes to meet him his whole face lights up. For me to see that happen for him would be incredible, all I want is for my son to be happy.

"We don't know the minute that ROHHAD may take him from us and I want to make as many of his hopes and dreams come true that I possibly can.

"Aaron has melted my heart with this wish he wants to help his special friends he is being so selfless, it's not about him dying it's about them.

"He is so clever and he knows if Iron Man helps him raise awareness he will reach more people! If Robert does this for Aaron and the other ROHHAD children it would mean the absolute world to all of us."
