Butternut Snap Biscuit Crowned Australia’s Favourite Arnott's Biccie

However the decision has divided opinion on social media.

Pretty much every workplace will have or have had at one point or another a good ole Arnott's Assorted biscuit bundle. Whether you prefer the creams, the family or the classic, there's something in there for everyone.

While you can sit there and say that they're all good, everyone has a favourite and some people will defend that opinion until their dying breath.

The people at Good Food have done a systematic, totally legit review of the best biccies and they've come out with the best of the best.

*drum roll please*

According to Good Food, the Butternut Snap is Australia's favourite biscuit.

The site says: "Desiccated coconut, golden syrup, oats and hang on a minute... is the Butternut Snap just a Kingston without the cream? More or less, yes.

"This Anzac biscuit in disguise is tougher on the teeth than its Army Corps counterpart but every bit as brilliant.

"A high degree of butter density means the biscuit can handle a lengthy dunk and peer-reviewed studies show cheesecake with a Butternut base is the most delicious thing atomic matter is capable of forming. Certainly worth putting the kettle on for."

Unsurprisingly, the decision to crown the Butternut has cause a bit of backlash on social media.

"Nobody on this planet thinks a Butternut Snap is the best biscuit," wrote one person.

"Surely you jest? Shortbread Cream for the win every time," said another user.

A third person didn't mince their words in writing: "Butternut Snap is great and very underrated, quite often making it a delicious surprise for those who were late to the biscuit barrell but the Kingston is so far above it I can only assume the person who wrote this also thinks sarsparilla is the most exotic drink imaginable."

If you're intrigued as to what else made the top 13 then feast your eyes on the below.

For all you Orange Slice fans out there, it came dead last in this poll, however fear not, that doesn't mean it's the worst bickie everywhere, just the worst out of 13.

The humble Milk Arrowroot came in second last, which is understandable because, let's be honest, it's usually one of the last biscuits that is left.

The shortbread cream came in 11th, which I find a travesty considering it's my favourite. I wonder what that says about my personality.

Following after that is the Delta Cream in the number 10 spot, which everyone knows is a lame version of an Oreo.

The Farmbake Choc Chip, Teddy Bear, Monte Carlo and Chocolate Ripple made up ninth, eighth, seventh and sixth respectively.

Now we get into the fun part: Milk Coffees were rated the fifth best, Nice came in fourth, the Scotch Finger clinched third and the Kingston was voted second.
