Mum shattered after teacher mocks her daughter's rabbit teeth

A mother of a 12-year-old girl has taken to Reddit to share her frustrations with her child’s bully, who happens to be one of her teachers.

A mother of a 12-year-old girl has taken to Reddit to share her frustrations with her child’s bully, who happens to be one of her teachers.

In a confession posted to r/TrueOffMyChest, the distressed mother said her daughter recently opened up to her about some rude comments her science teacher made about her appearance.

“It apparently started in a biology lesson where they were looking at ear lobes and talking about differences between attached and detached earlobes,” writes the mother.

The science teacher then apparently singled out the 12-year-old girl saying she had 'fat earlobes'.

“She now never wears her hair up, always down covering her ears.”

The science teacher also allegedly referred to the young girl as having 'rabbit teeth' causing her to now want braces.

“He said her legs were hairy, now she only wears tights and asked me to help teach her to shave them,” continues the mother.

“He then pointed out how large her feet are in another class. Now she only wears small ballet pumps that last 5 seconds.”

Her daughter only started high school this year but seemed to be settling into the school well until the bullying scandal began.

“Slowly her attitude and how she presents herself has been changing," the mother adds.

While the daughter claims that her science teacher was just joking, when the 12-year-old made a joke about her science teacher’s age, calling him old, she was handed a lunchtime detention.

“I set up a meeting with the school but they told me they haven't had any complaints like this before and her teacher has a really good reputation among students,” the mother said.

“They set up a welfare councillor for my daughter to help her with her behaviour as if she is the problem!”

“I just feel helpless,” the mother wrote adding: “like why aren't they listening to me.”

The comment section was filled with support for the daughter, with many siding with the mother.

“If you get no results, you go to the school board. Move her to another class. Don't let the school step on you,” said one user.

“You have to push and push and you keep pushing you take it as high as you have to,” commented another.

“You are your daughter’s best advocate,” said another.

“She will forever remember this, even if it doesn’t get the results you want, she will remember that you showed up for her and taught her how to not back down.”
