The owner of a small business in Australia was left in floods of tears after she received criticism from a customer because she sent her a free lolly with her order. You can see the TikTok video she shared below.

Yes, someone actually complained about receiving a lollipop that they hadn't expected.

People are strange, right?

Anyway, the owner of the business has thankfully received a whole load of support and additional orders after the bizarre rant was sent to her, and won't let it deter her from running her business the way she wants to, including sending out free sweeties.

Carissa Collins runs a business called TLC Body, and shared the story on TikTok after she was left bitterly disappointed by the comments from the vegan former customer.

She thought - quite reasonably - that sending out a wee lolly with her deliveries would be a nice thing to do, and an unexpected treat for the customers to enjoy.

However, it turns out that not everyone is so thrilled to receive things like that.

She later received an email that said: "Once again I'm in a position where I will not be buying from you again because I no longer trust your word."

It appears that the problem in this case is that the customer doesn't want sugary food sent to them unsolicited.

The email continued: "I don't even eat lollies - vegan or not - what do you think you are gaining by sending someone a bit of sugary junk in the first place?

"I'd rather pay less for my product than get something I never asked for or wanted.

"But if they were vegan I could have at least appreciated the thought."

The email concluded with the customer saying that they would never again shop with Collins business.

Sounds like a good deal.

In a tearful TikTok video, Collins said: "When did it become okay to speak to people like this?"

"I literally just received an email from a customer complaining about me giving them a lolly. A bloody lolly in their order,

"Honestly how this email was worded, it was almost as if I had stabbed them or something.

"What the hell? I am trying to do a nice thing by giving free gifts with orders.

"If you don't like a lolly, don't eat it."

Good advice.

Luckily, people have rallied around her and roundly slammed the customer for their rude attitude to Carissa's 'lovely gesture'.

One said: "You don't want customers like that, it's a blessing in disguise, don't let this put you down."

Following up on her first video, Carissa later said: "All I can say right now is wow these last two days have been crazy,

"I am so blown away by your supportive comments and messages and purchases.

"I was not expecting so many people to see me Kimmy K crying on the internet.

"I really want you guys to know I appreciate you so much. Thank you for your support and kind words."

What's more, she's definitely keeping the free lollies in her orders, which is a good thing too.
