Good Morning America Reporter Goes On TV Without Any Trousers On

Will Reeve thought he could get away with not getting fully dressed, but was sadly mistaken

A reporter on Good Morning America significantly improved the morning of all of his viewers by giving them something to giggle at, having shown up for a report wearing a shirt and suit jacket but no trousers.

Now, during this coronavirus pandemic, those of us who can work from home should be counting our lucky stars that we still can work at all.

However, working from home has it's own set of pitfalls, as ABC reporter Will Reeve found out to his detriment.

He was presenting a serious piece on one of the USA's flagship morning news programmes about pharmacies using drones to deliver prescriptions to a Florida retirement home without the need to make contact with patients, but he didn't realise that he was making his own headlines for an even more unusual reason.

Oh dear, Will.

"What is an innovative, high-tech way to get people their medicine quickly while promoting social distancing? Drones!" a happy Reeves said to the anchor Amy Robach, back in the studio.

However, while the piece to camera started off as well-framed, and the graphics rolling across the bottom of the screen were doing their bit to cover Reeve's modesty, that soon changed when the shot moved out afterwards and clearly showed a bit of his legs.

Fittingly, this bit was while he was making a point about 'the final leg of the prescriptions' journey'.

Excellent comic timing, if completely unplanned.

For those of us who've had online video calls, we've all wondered whether we actually need to get the whole way dressed, so let this be a lesson to us all.

We should, because the door will always be open to incidents like this.

As the shot cut back to Robach and her co-anchor in the studio, you could tell that she'd clocked what was going on, because she pulled a strange face.

She looked as if she was choking back laughter.

Online, Robach wasn't the only one who was pretty amused by it. One person tweeted: "Hey put some pants on my guy."

Another tagged the show and said: "This guy isn't wearing pants!"

Nobody likes a grass, mate.

One person incorrectly identified Reeve as another reporter, Tom Llamas, to which Reeve responded: "No it was definitely @TomLlamasABC for sure 100% no way was it me framing up the shot alone and blowing it."

He later explained in a tweet that he 'got ready for a post-GMA workout a little too soon this morning' and welcomed 'any sartorial tips from these people who are wearing a belt, trousers and shoes during their work video calls at home'.

Well, at least he can see the funny side, and he'll definitely have some awkward questions to answer the next time he turns up on Good Morning America.
